Clinical Trials For HIV Drug Of Children Gets The Approval Of FDA


Any drug from the clinical trial enters the market only when it gets the approval of FDA, now it is the turn of Children’s HIV drug to enter the market. With the new HIV drug that has passed the tests of the clinical trials, we can expect to see the future generation free from HIV. The efficiency of the new drug, raltegravir demonstrated positive in treating the children affected by HIV. 

The drug was approved to treat the adults in the year 2007. In the clinical trial conducted with the 96 patients showed positive results after being treated with the raltegravir for 24 weeks. 53 percent of the patients had an undetectable amount of HIV in their blood. The results of the trial stated that the drug has excellent efficiency to treat the children with HIV rather than any other medication available in the market.
