Clinical Trials Bring The Good News To The Patients Suffering With The Type-2 Diabetes

Clinical trials turned into the healthy gateway for the patients suffering from number of diseases. Medical trials have brought number of medicines into the market ensuring their safety and efficiency. Now it is the turn of the patients suffering from type-2 diabetes to hear the good news. Phase II clinical trials were conducted with 200 members. The active patients treated with the anti inflammatory drug bardoxolone methyl showed four times better improvement in chronic kidney disease and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). It was four times better than the patients that were given the placebo treatment. The data of the phase II clinical trial merit the phase III study. Apart from showing the improvement in estimated glomerular filtration rate, The drug also reduced blood urea nitrogen, serum phosphorus, and serum uric acid in patients with diabetic kidney disease.
